Summer 2021 at Five Points

Posted by Mike Sherf on

Five Points family,

In pursuit of what we believe to be a good desire, namely, having what's important to God shape what's important to us, we'd like to let you know about one means to help us towards that end. Beginning June 9th, we'll gather together at the church building on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays (6:30-7:30pm) of the month for a time of prayer. With the full support of Karen Jerome and Rooted, along with Aaron Jerome and Resolved:, these ministries will continue on through the summer on these alternating Wednesdays as well.

While we don't believe that this is the only way of striving towards being the kind of people who reflect what's important to God by what we do, we do believe that praying together uniquely helps us along in a way that other things, including praying alone, does not. We believe this is demonstrated in the pattern laid out for us to follow by the New Testament church as they applied Jesus's teaching on prayer and devoted themselves to it.

Prayer is one of those things we may never fully comprehend, but one thing is sure, it's a means of God whereby he moves his good purposes along for his glory and our good! We hope to have you join us.
