What We Believe

The Gospel

The word “gospel” means “good news” and summarizes the historic reality that God the Father sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to endure the punishment and shame for sin in the place of rebels like us by being crucified. But now, through God’s grace, we can fully enjoy a restored relationship with God through faith in Christ. This is possible because Jesus not only died but was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We seek to center our lives on this gospel and find our greatest joy to be God himself. Practically, that means we trust in God and look to the Bible for the help of his Spirit in all circumstances and questions of life. We invite you to join us in pursuit of this gospel-centered joy.

Confession of Faith

We are baptistic in our structure and Reformed in our teaching.

We believe the historic New Hampshire Confession of Faith best captures the orthodox Christian faith that we proclaim.

Church Constitution

Our church constitution contains our Covenant of Membership, Confession of Faith (the above New Hampshire Confession), and Bylaws.

Resources

To give you a fuller idea of what we believe and teach, here are some additional resources that describe our theological convictions and organizations that we would consider to be like-minded.

These documents are wonderful tools of explaining the Bible, but they aren’t the Bible. We make every effort to believe everything the Bible teaches, and we affirm these documents as a good description of what we believe and ministries that endeavor to carry them out.
