Adults

GriefShare

(Room A)

This class is for those grieving the death of a family member or friend, regardless of how much time has passed since the death. This class is free of charge but requires that you register in advance below as attendance is limited. Chip & Amy Prange lead this class developed by the GriefShare ministry.

Bible Study and Prayer

(Room E)

For most Christians, if asked what they wish they spent more time doing, praying would be the first response. And yet, so many of us struggle to enjoy God through prayer. If you wish your time talking to God was more meaningful, refreshing, encouraging, and biblical, this is the class for you! Each week, we will look at a different passage on prayer, then put into practice what we have learned by praying together.

Forge: Biblical Leadership in the Church

(Sanctuary)

Ever since the Fall, God has been in the business of graciously redeeming and using sinful, weak, and unlikely people to accomplish His purposes in the world. To lead within the church, you do not need to be an intellectual, achieve a certain level of success, attend seminary, or be an eloquent public speaker. You must simply love and humbly serve the Lord and others. Whether you are currently a leader at Five Points, aspire to be one, or want to gain a deeper understanding of what you should expect from church leaders, please join us as we examine the radically countercultural qualities of biblical leadership. Regardless of whether you become a leader or not, we trust this class will build you up in the Word, prayer, and theology for the good of the church and the gospel.

Disciple-Making Parenting

(Commons)

While every Christian parent longs to see their children walk in intimate fellowship with Jesus both before and after leaving home, we live in an age where more and more young adults are leaving the church after graduating high school. In the midst of a cultural maelstrom of misleading council, how can we faithfully disciple our kids without being overly permissive or falling into anxious micromanagement? Utilizing Chap Bettis’s book The Disciple-Making Parent, this class will offer practical help in living out your faith in front of your children, pointing them to Christ in every stage of development, and preparing them to persevere in following Jesus.

Friends Group

(Room C/D)

This class is for individuals with disabilities led by Lois Trimm. Participants do a Bible lesson, activity, sing, and enjoy a snack. There are also special activities for this group throughout the year.

Bravehearts & Tapestry

On the last Wednesday of each month, our men's and women's ministries gather at the same time in separate spaces. Men will be going through a study entitled "Soujourners and Exiles: Life as God's People," while women will examine the topic of biblical friendship, drawing from Johnathan Holmes's book The Company We Keep: In Search of Biblical Friendship and Made for Friendship: The Relationship that Halves our Sorrows and Doubles our Joys by Drew Hunter.

Children & Students

Our Rooted kids will be studying the New City Catechism in the following rooms:

  • Nursery (Nursery 2)
  • Preschool and 4s & 5s (Rooms P1 & P2)
  • 1st-6th Grade (Kids Common Room & Gym), Renell Gingell

The Resolved: student group will meet in Room I/J to discuss Greg Gilbert's book, What is the Gospel?
