Partner with Our Kenya Team

Posted on

For two weeks this August, a team of 21 individuals will be going out from among us to minister to AIDS-affected children and their families in Kenya. While there, they will be serving with Christ's Hope International at six of their CarePoint mission outposts, including hosting a three day family camp and a Sunday worship service. Each participant will be involved in teaching children between five and eighteen years of age about Jesus from Genesis to Revelation aided by crafts, skits, activities, and games to point the children Godward. There will also be an instruction time for adults coinciding with the children's ministries. As most of those the team will be interacting with have never before heard the Gospel, please be praying God would use this trip to glorify Himself by causing many Kenyans to repent of their sins and place their trust in Christ alone for salvation.

In addition to prayer, the next few weeks will include two more ways to partner with the team. First, various supplies are needed for distribution and use during the family camp. Please click here to see a list and consider signing up if there are items that you are willing to contribute. All donations can be left on the table near the nursing mothers room in the church lobby. Additionally, the team will be hosting a light lunch following the worship service on June 24 to raise funds for the trip. This will be a great opportunity to meet and encourage those going.

We praise God for giving the team members the desire and opportunity to proclaim the infinite worth of our Savior among the people of Kenya and look forward to seeing how He will use them to further the advance of Christ's kingdom in Africa!
